Garden Bench Inscription
Old Paradise Gardens x Garden Museum
"To Everything there is a season a time to every purpose"
This inscription from the Bible was carved in situ for the Garden Museum in their new healing garden designed by Dan Pearson. The lettering style is based on 'Albertus' by Bertold Wolpe. Wolpe designed book jackets for Faber & Faber and lived in Kennington. The typeface can seen on the street signs of Lambeth, it is bold, elegant and perfect for carving.
The healing garden is open for all to visit, it contains an abundance of healing plants and is a quiet oasis in the centre of London. You can hear Big Ben chime across the river while birds sing in the trees.
